A Journey Rooted in Family, Faith, and Foundation Repair

Our story is one of evolution, deeply rooted in family, guided by faith, and ultimately finding its footing in the specialized world of foundation repair and concrete lifting. It all began in 2003 when Scott Willingham’s father, transitioning from the nuclear power industry, ventured into the polyurethane foam industry. Scott was in college then, and this new family endeavor became his introduction to the world of specialized construction.

For years, he worked alongside his father, learning the intricacies of the business. After graduating, Scott stepped into the role of running the company, gaining invaluable experience in polyurethane spray foam insulation, roofing, and injection foam. They operated across a vast geographical area, from Aspen, Colorado, to Arkansas and the Texas coast, tackling diverse projects and honing their expertise. This period ingrained in us a profound understanding of polyurethane materials, equipment, and the demanding nature of the construction industry.

From Polyurethane to Ministry and Back Again

In 2012, their path took a significant turn. Scott and his wife, Kasi, felt called to full-time ministry, leading them to step away from the company and move to Houston. For five fulfilling years, they  dedicated themselves to starting and growing Texas FCA Motocross, a sports-specific ministry under the umbrella of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. While deeply immersed in ministry, Scott maintained a connection to the polyurethane world, recognizing its continued relevance and potential.

Upon returning to Stephenville, Texas, they found themselves in a familiar yet new landscape. They had always been involved in buying, selling, and renovating investment properties. It was during the remodel of a property needing foundation repair that they  encountered a common frustration: finding reliable, affordable, local contractors who communicated effectively and delivered on their promises. This experience, coupled with the increasing acceptance of polyurethane for concrete lifting among engineers and its use in Department of Transportation projects nationwide, sparked an idea.

A former colleague, with whom Scott  had stayed in touch, was discussing industry trends, and that was when Scott and Kasi realized the perfect synergy. Their extensive background in polyurethane and construction, combined with their personal experience of the pain points in finding trustworthy contractors, pointed to a clear need. They  possessed the understanding, technical expertise, and know-how to address this gap. Thus, the idea for Precision Foundation Repair and Concrete Lifting began to solidify.

A Commitment to Service and Community

Their journey has always been intertwined with their faith and commitment to community. Throughout their time in the polyurethane industry and during their season of ministry in Houston, they have been heavily involved in the local church. To better serve the church and the ministry they  started in Houston, Scott pursued a Master's degree at Westminster Theological Seminary, which offered a full-distance program. This academic endeavor, born out of a desire to preach and pursue ordination within the church, was challenging but incredibly rewarding. It allowed him to regularly preach at their local church and now, as part of a local church plant in Glen Rose, Providence Reformed Church, Scott has the privilege of preaching almost every Sunday. This church, spearheaded by a dear friend and his best man, is a 30-minute drive, making it a wonderful fit for their family. Scott’s contributions include an exposition of the law and assurance of pardon as part of their weekly liturgy.

Beyond their church involvement, their family is deeply embedded in the local rodeo scene. Scott and Kasi’s three children participate in ECRC (Erath County Riding Club) and will soon begin Texas Region 3 Rodeo in the fall. While they don't participate in city league sports, they are actively involved in numerous events at the 377 Arena, a hub for team roping, barrel racing, and various other rodeo organizations like X-treme Team Roping, NTR, and World Series Team Roping.

Kasi, an accomplished functional medicine practitioner with several certifications, also plays a vital role in their family and community, bringing her unique expertise to the table.

Deep Roots in Polyurethane and Foundation Solutions

Scott’s initial foray into the polyurethane world in 2003 with his father focused on spray foam insulation, roofing, and injection foam. They honed their skills, traveling extensively and mastering the application of these versatile materials. When they returned to Stephenville, after his father had sold the insulation business, they deliberately chose not to re-enter the insulation or roofing sectors. The opportunity in concrete lifting with polyurethane, however, presented itself as a natural and compelling fit. While more complex than insulation, it utilizes much of the same equipment and materials, areas where our decades of experience gave them a significant advantage. The equipment knowledge, in particular, was second nature to the team.

They proudly partner with industry leaders to ensure the highest quality materials and solutions. They primarily use foam from NCFI (North Carolina Foam Industries), a privately owned polyurethane manufacturing company with a significant presence in Houston. They also source a substantial amount of our material through Earth Contact Products (ECP). Their team is ECP certified, reflecting their commitment to ongoing training and expertise. In addition to polyurethane lifting, they also specialize in the installation of helical piers, exclusively using ECP's hot-dip galvanized helical piers, a skill refined through a rigorous four-day certification program. ECP also provides excellent resources that further enhance our capabilities.

Another key partner is Profoam, a highly respected name in the polyurethane world. They  were instrumental in helping Precision to establish their concrete lifting operations, providing comprehensive training and ongoing support. The individuals at Profoam are, in fact, the same people they were in business with in the early 2000s in the insulation sector. It was through a conversation with one of them in 2019 that the idea for the current business truly took hold. While Scott initially didn't connect the dots, his visionary wife immediately recognized the immense potential and how perfectly it aligned with their background and skills.

Scott has also undertaken specialized training courses through both Profoam and ECP, and Scott holds an SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) certification from nearly two decades ago. These certifications and long-standing relationships with leading manufacturers and suppliers underscore their deep understanding of the polyurethane industry and their dedication to providing cutting-edge, reliable foundation repair and concrete lifting solutions.
